Efektivitas Bobath Exercises dan Massage Pada Pasien Cerebral Palsy
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The main problems of the subject of this study were spasticity and the ability to sit, due to a non-progressive brain disorder. This disorder is accompanied by an inability to control posture and balance.
This type of research is an experimental design with a pre test - post test one group with the aim of knowing the effectiveness of bobath exercise and massage on reducing spasticity and sitting ability of research subjects. The research was carried out at the Makassar Special School, with a research sample of 17 cerebral palsy patients who met the research criteria.The results of the study for spasticity obtained p value = 0.00 and the ability to sit research subjects obtained p value = 0.001.Conclusion : Bobath exercises and massage can improve sitting ability and reduce spasticity in research subjects.

ABSTRAK
Poblem utama subjek penelitian ini adalah spastisitas dan kemampuan duduk, karena gangguan otak yang non progresif. Gangguan ini disertai ketidakmampuan mengontrol postur dan keseimbangan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah experiment dengan desain pre test – post test one group dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas bobath exercsise dan massage terhadap penurunan spastisitas dan kemampuan duduk subjek penelitian. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Sekolah Luar Biasa Makassar, dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 17 pasien cerebral palsy yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian. Hasil penelitian untuk spastisitas diperoleh nilai p= 0.00 dan kemampuan duduk subjek penelitan di peroleh nilai p =0.001.Kesimpulan : Bobath exercises dan massage dapat meningkatkan kemampuan duduk dan menurunkan spastisitas pada subjek penelitian.
