Pengaruh Pemberian Cryotherapy terhadap Penurunan Nyeri pada Pasien Post-op ACL di Rumah Sakit Al-Irsyad Surabaya

Abstract

Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injuries occur due to a tear in the ligament with contact and non-contact mechanisms that can cause severe pain, severe bleeding, infection, and knee stiffness. Cryotherapy can reduce pain and can add relaxation to the surgical area. Therefore, this study aims to prove that cryotherapy has an effect on reducing pain inpatients post-op ACL. The design of this research is quasi experiment with one group pre and post test design. This research was conducted in July-November 2021. With six meetings and with the number of samples used twenty-five respondents were taken from the results of the pre-test and post-test according to the inclusion criteria of this study. Pain measurement using Numerical Rating Scale (NRS). Using the rank test and the results obtained were p<0.005. Based on the results of statistical tests, it can be concluded that cryotherapy has an effect on reducing pain inpatients post-op ACL at Al-Irsyad Hospital Surabaya.

ABSTRAK

Cedera Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) terjadi karena adanya robekan pada ligamen tersebut dengan mekanisme kontak dan non-kontak dan dapat menimbulkan nyeri hebat, perdarahan hebat, infeksi, dan lutut terasa kaku. Cryotherapy dapat mengurangi nyeri dan dapat menambahkan relaksasi pada daerah operasi. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan cryotherapy mempunyai pengaruh terhadap penurunan nyeri pada pasien post op ACL. Desain dari penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan one group pre and post test design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli-November 2021. Dengan enam kali pertemuan dan dengan jumlah sampel yang digunakan dua puluh lima responden diambil dari hasil pre-test dan post-test yang sesuai kriteria inklusi dari penelitian ini. Pengukuran nyeri menggunakan Numerical Rating Scale (NRS). Menggunakan uji rank tes dan diperoleh hasil p<0,005. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik dapat disimpulkan bahwa cryotherapy mempunyai pengaruh terhadap penurunan nyeri pada pasien post-op ACL di Rumah Sakit Al-Irsyad Surabaya.
