Kontrasepsi Suntik Depo Medroksi Progesteron Asetat dan Peningkatan Berat Badan Akseptor Keluarga Berencana di Praktik Mandiri Bidan Delima Padasuka

Abstract

Injections are the most used type of contraception. The effect of weight gain on the use of 3-month injection contraception Depo Medroxyprogesterone Acetate occurs a lot. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the use of 3-month injectable contraception Depo Medroxyprogesterone Acetate and acceptor weight gain. The research design was cross-sectional. This study involved 21 injecting contraceptive acceptors selected by accidental sampling technique. Data were collected through a documentary study on medical records, then analyzed using the Chi-square test. The p-value of the analysis results was 0.047. Furthermore, it was concluded that there was a significant correlation between the length of use of injectable contraceptives and the weight gain of family planning acceptors.

ABSTRAK

Suntik merupakan jenis kontrasepsi yang terbanyak digunakan. Efek penambahan berat badan pada pemakaian kontrasepsi suntik 3 bulan Depo Medroksiprogesterone Asetat banyak terjadi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara penggunaan kontrasepsi suntik 3 bulan Depo Medroksiprogesterone Asetat dengan kenaikan berat badan akseptor. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah cross-sectional. Studi ini melibatkan 21 akseptor kontrasepsi suntik yang dipilih dengan teknik accidental sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi dokemntasi pada rekam medik, selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-square. Nilai p dari hasil analisis adalah 0,047. Selanjutnya disimpulkan bahwa ada korelasi secara signifikan antara lama penggunaan kontrasepsi suntik dengan kenaikan berat badan akseptor keluarga berencana.
